Inaugural Issue

This inaugural issue of the AIRIX Journal of Digital Scholarship and Innovation brings together five interdisciplinary studies exploring how emerging technologies, digital methods, and open research practices are reshaping scholarship and applied innovation.

The articles examine privacy-preserving academic analytics through federated learning, the evolving landscape of digital humanities education, the adoption of open peer review and preprints, the role of low-code platforms in African fintech, and the use of explainable artificial intelligence in predicting research impact.

Together, these contributions reflect the journal’s commitment to rigorous, accessible, and globally relevant research that connects digital scholarship with real-world institutional, social, and economic challenges.
