AJDSI was established at the Airix Institute for Digital Scholarship, with a mandate for interdisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed publication of digital scholarship that translates research innovation into real-world community outcomes.

Conception & founding charter
Founding faculty steering committee
The Airix Institute for Digital Scholarship convened a steering committee to charter an open-access journal devoted to digital scholarship and innovation — establishing CC BY 4.0 licensing, COPE alignment, and a double-blind review model.
